Founder & Managing Principal
Angela entered the foodservice consulting world as a marketing manager after 6 years in operations working for Restaurant Enterprises Group. In a very short time frame she established an extensive network of clients and projects. Bringing together her degree in Urban Planning from Virginia Tech, her operations and marketing experience, and her impressive “rolodex” she co-founded Culinary Advisors at the age of 29. In her current role as Managing Principal, Angela oversees client development and retention, public relations, and financial management of the firm as well as day to day operations. Her intuitive nature makes her invaluable to Culinary Advisors, best illustrated by the firm’s impressive project portfolio and the truly spectacular staff that makes up our team. Angela is a past president of the Washington, DC Chapter of the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) and serves on the Board of Moore Love Foundation headquartered in Austin, Texas.
Founder & Design Principal
Michael holds dual degrees in Culinary Arts and Foodservice Management, with an additional background in mechanical engineering. When combined with more than a decade of real world experience as a foodservice operator, he has an excellent background for his career as a foodservice facility designer. Michael brings his extensive knowledge and wide range of experience to every design and every client. He has completed hundreds of design projects over his tenure as one of the three founding principals of Culinary Advisors. As a Design Principal Michael initiates programming and preliminary design, carrying the project through all phases, from concept to inspection of the finished installation. In recent years, his role has expanded to providing mentorship to the Culinary Advisors team. Michael is a Professional Member, Past Worldwide President, and Fellow of Foodservice Consultants Society international (FCSI). He is a US Navy veteran.
Senior Designer
Laura brings decades of combined experience in both hospitality operations and as a foodservice designer. She is typically responsible for all day-to-day activity and coordination of the design aspects of projects. Laura initiates programming and preliminary design, carrying the project through all phases, from concept to inspection of the finished installation. Laura has completed more than 100 projects as a foodservice consultant. Her professional portfolio includes many project types, from workplace dining to leisure and entertainment operations. She is a Professional Member of Foodservice Consultant Society International (FCSI).
Design Principal Emeritus
Bonnie’s diverse background that includes a formal education in science and fine art, plus her real world experience as a food business owner gave her a unique foundation for a career as a foodservice facility designer. Bonnie brought her extensive knowledge and wide range of experience to every client she served. In the course of her 25 years with Culinary Advisors she completed more than 300 design projects, with many more while with other design firms prior to cofounding Culinary Advisors. Her incredible depth of experience continues to this day to support Culinary Advisors in such roles as new systems development, quality control, and mentoring.
Project Manager & BIM Technician
After graduating from Marymount University with a degree in Interior Design, Jessica joined an architectural firm where she was first a designer and then a project manager for seven years. Along with managing a variety of projects including local DC restaurants she also oversaw the design reference library. Jessica’s eye for design led her to assist in selecting materials and finishes for projects company-wide. Seeking to follow her true professional interests, she joined a large international foodservice consulting firm creating BIM and CAD work before moving into a design position for the firm. Jessica brings an exciting combination of both foodservice and architecture design to all projects she is a part of. Jessica serves in the vital role of BIM Technician for Culinary Advisors, responsible for the oversight of all aspects of project documentation, training of BIM staff, and development of BIM tools. She an Associate Member of Foodservice Consultant Society International (FCSI).
Associate Project Manager
Kelsey graduated from the University of Arkansas Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design with an Interior Design degree. She has over 6 years’ experience as a foodservice designer, before starting in foodservice design, she worked in a restaurant for more than 6 years gaining firsthand experience and knowledge of operations and flow in a kitchen. Kelsey is an Associate Project Manager for Culinary Advisors, managing daily activity and coordination for projects implementing her 6 years of professional BIM experience to each project. She is an Associate Member of Foodservice Consultant Society International (FCSI).
Project Specialist
With nearly 7 years’ experience in the foodservice equipment industry, Devin brings a strong background and upbringing to our team. Transitioning his experience since a young age assisting his father with his foodservice installation company, he has moved from hands-on kitchen equipment installation to Assistant Project Manager & Project Coordinator for some of the top Foodservice Equipment Contractors in the industry. He brings to foodservice design consulting his extensive equipment knowledge. As a Project Specialist for Culinary Advisors, Devin is responsible for Revit design work & project coordination, having a hand in nearly all projects leaving our Studio.
BIM Technician
Chris’ first job, while still in high school, was running blueprints and updating cut books for a foodservice design firm where his father worked. He later gained expertise in computer technology and spent years in IT administration and later worked with state of the art electronic security systems. After completing a course in Revit, he joined Culinary Advisors as a BIM Technician, responsible for day to day production of project documentation.
