Sallie Mae
In the fall of 2005 Sallie Mae celebrated the opening of its new Headquarters Building located in Reston Town Center, Virginia. This location on a 4.65-acre site within the urban core portion of Reston Town Center provides office and conference space for conference participants, visitors and its 760 employees. The nine-story tall building includes a 200-seat cafeteria, and four large training and meeting rooms adjacent to the cafeteria. The kitchen was designed to handle a high volume of catered meals that make up 60% of its production.
The design of the cafeteria was intended to reflect Sallie Mae's goal for a progressive, forward-thinking design that would be elegant and timeless, and that would set the standard for corporate dining.
